Dennis Appiah urges Nantes fans to be patient after six games without win

FC Nantes defender Dennis Appiah has urged frustrated fans of the club to remain calm as the team works on reviving their campaign.

The Yellow Canaries have been on a run of six games without a win in all competitions, and on Sunday the team was booed following a lackluster draw with FC Metz.

"With the supporters, there was nothing special. It was a misunderstanding. Against Bordeaux (0-1, January 26), we were not all there. There, we all come and they tell us to from. So they were told not to ask us to come," said the French born Ghanaian.

"That's how it is. They're part of the club, we're all together. I don't have a problem, as long as there is respect and we talk quietly, we will go," he added.

FC Nantes are currently 12th on the Ligue 1 table, just eight points adrift of relegation zone.

They next face an uphill task at Olympique Marseille.
