Deportivo Alaves could sell Mubarak Wakaso in the ongoing January transfer window to avoid losing him on a free in the summer, according to reports in Spain.
Wakaso's contract will expire in June and has not been open about signing a renewal.
Though, sporting director Sergio Fernández said they would like Wakaso to stay, reports in the European country claim otherwise.
According to reports, Wakaso has been put on the club’s transfer list for this window.
Wakaso has so far participated in 17 games this season. He has seen 12 yellow cards and was once ejected.
He will miss Alaves’ weekend clash against Levante due to card accumulation.
