Black Stars assistant coach Desmond Ofei says the technical team has learned valuable lessons from Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and is determined to make amends in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
The four-time African champions finished bottom of Group F with just three points, missing out on AFCON for the first time in over a decade.
"As we all know, it was painful not to qualify for AFCON. But we've learned from our mistakes on and off the pitch and are hungry to rectify the situation," Ofei told the GFA media.
Ghana will face Chad in Accra on March 17 before taking on Madagascar in Morocco on March 24 as they push for a spot in the 2026 World Cup.
The Black Stars have a strong chance of qualifying for the World Cup, and victories in their upcoming matches would significantly boost their campaign.
