Sassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco has asked his players to give their all against Juventus and has said that the Neroverdi will play to win the match.
Di Francesco’s side have enjoyed a magnificent season so far and currently sit seventh in the table. Furthermore, Sassuolo have set a precedent of performing well against top sides, having already beaten the likes of AC Milan and Inter this season.
“Beating Juventus would bring a lot of satisfaction to us.” said Di Francesco at his pre-match press conference. “But we know the Bianconeri are a strong team, the best in the league and they have a winning mentality.
“But I want my players to play as well as they can and try to attack Juventus. We know we have to play this game with humility, to beat teams like Juventus you need to run more.
“Determination isn’t enough sometimes, we need to leave everything on the pitch. I play to win. We won’t sit back we will attack Juventus and try to create chances. ”
Di Francesco was also asked whether he is surprised at how well Juventus have recovered since their early season wobble and whether The Old Lady might be distracted by their upcoming Champions League tie against Bayern Munich.
“I’m not surprised by their recovery, I always thought they were favourites for the Scudetto. I don’t think they’ll be distracted, Juventus look to win every game they can. “
