Ghana defender Francis Dickoh scored his debut goal for Scottish side Hibernian in their shock 0-3 win at champions Rangers in a League match on Wednesday night.

The central-defender was at the right place to score Hibernian’s third goal on 76 minutes as the club recorded their first win of the campaign.

A corner kick from Rankin was headed down by Bamba and Dickoh was perfectly placed to lash an unstoppable volley high into the Rangers net.

The 27-year-old was one of four changes made to the Hibernian side that lost the Edinburgh derby to Hearts over the weekend.

Hibernian surged into the lead after six minutes thanks to an ambitious 30-yard strike from Miller.

Allan McGregor initially appeared to have the shot covered but a slight deflection took the effort past the Rangers goalkeeper.

Rangers were stunned when Hibs doubled their lead after 19 minutes. Rankin exchanged a one-two with Trakys before rifling a right-foot shot past McGregor from 25 yards.

The victory took Hibs to eighth in the League; while Rangers were able to retain their single-point advantage at the summit after Celtic also suffered defeat at Hearts.

Also in the Scottish League, Ghana midfielder Prince Buaben scored the consolation goal in Dundee United’s 1-2 loss to St. Mirren.
