Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says he never requested for the appointment of a technical adviser but has no problem getting an extra helping hand.

The Ghana Football Association is in the process of appointing a competent hand to assist the Black Stars trainer in an advisory role.

Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac and Dane Flemming Serritslev have been short listed to take up the job.

There have been claims that the appointment of a technical adviser was at the request of Appiah but the Black Stars boss says this is not true.

"I didn't request for a technical adviser, I want to make that clear," he said.

"It was a suggestion and I said fine, if the nation can afford even ten technical advisers for me I don't have a problem.

"With Christian Atsu, a friend suggested him to me and I took that advice.

"I am welcome to any advice, if I think it will be helpful to the team, I will take the advice."
