Thu Dau Mot: PSM Makassar captain Wiljan Pluim was critical of the Indonesian side after their 1-0 defeat to 10-men Becamex Binh Duong of Vietnam in Wednesday's ASEAN Zonal Semi-final first leg.
The Dutch midfielder could not hide his disappointment after the AFC Cup debutants failed to capitalise on their one-man advantage following the 50th minute dismissal of defender Nguyen Trung Tin for two bookable offences.
Indeed, according to Plium, the sending off seemed to galvanise hosts Binh Duong and disrupt the visitors' tempo and flow.
"Going in at half-time at 0-0, everything was going fine. We had good organisation and were playing well," said the 30-year-old.
"In the second half, they received a red card and we fell apart a little bit, lost our positioning, our organisation and did things we should not do.
"It was really not good from our side."

Makassar were unable to register a single shot on target from proceedings at Binh Duong Stadium while the home side, who had chances through Ali Rabo and Wander Luiz, made their best opening count 10 minutes from time.
Substitute Nguyen Tien Linh timed his run perfectly to reach Le Tan Tai’s cross and head the ball into the bottom right corner to break the deadlock.
And the Makassar skipper is well aware of the challenge the side faces in the second leg in Indonesia next week.
"They had one chance and scored from it and as a result we lost 1-0 – totally unnecessary in my opinion," he said.
"Even with 10 men they are dangerous and can score. Even if you draw here it’s a good result, but now we have made things difficult for ourselves for the next game.
"Still 1-0, there's not so much we can do about that now, and, of course, the tie is far from over."
