Lawyers of dismissed Aduana Stars coach Herbert Addo are contesting the wrongful termination of his contract.

The former Premier League champions sacked the ex-Asante Kotoko boss and his second-in-command for dereliction of duty.

But it is widely believed a break in relationship between the coach and the club's acting Chief Executive Kofi Manu.

Manu embarrassed the coach in a Premier League meeting against Medeama SC by preventing him from effecting a substitution in the full glare of spectators.

But coach Addo has hinted he could take legal action against the club over unpaid monies due him.

"His dismissal was wrong because how can you sack somebody by claiming he neglected his post,'' his lawyer Amoah Larbi told MTNFootball.com.

"We think that was wrong and so if they want to dispense with his services, they must pay what is due him and then he will continue with his career.

"Otherwise there are legal ways that we can follow to ensure, he get what rightfully his for the wrongful termination of his contract."

The dethroned league champions have appointed Romanian Cioaba Aristica as their new coach.
