Doku unopposed for Greater Accra RFA bye-election

Nii Komiete Doku will go unopposed in Thursday's Greater Accra Regional Football Association chairman bye-election.

Doku, the association's vice-chairman, will be elected to replace his former boss Jordan Anagblah who died in June this year.

A GFA statement said: "We confirm that his [Nii Komiete Doku] nomination met all eligibility requirements and that he was the sole candidate as at the close of nomination on 6th August 2012.

"We hereby recommend, in accordance with Article 28.7 of the GFA Statutes and Clause 15.2 of the Guidelines for Election of Chairman of the Great Accra Regional Football Association - July 2012, that he be presented to the Gt. Accra RFA Congress to be elected as the sole candidate."

Doku will also become an Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association after his confirmation.
