Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah opened his Reggina goal scoring account by netting in the Serie B side's 2-4 win at Frosinone on Wednesday in the Coppa Italia.

The AC Milan loanee raced with a ball in extra-time and beat the Frosinone goalkeeper on a one-on-one situation in the 104th minute.

The 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup Most Valuable Player and top scorer believes finding the back of the net is massive morale booster as he struggles to regain international recognition

"I was working hard to find something that will help me regain my confidence and I think this goal scored today is a perfect one for me to get back into the picture," the 20-year-old told Ghanasoccernet.com

"I'm learning ever since I got to Italy and I must admit that I have fully understood their tactics and way of play. I pray it continues like this," he added.

Adiyiah joined the club this summer after failing to command a place at the San Siro.

He was a member of Ghana's World Cup in South Africa.
