Ukraine-based striker Dominic Adiyiah says exclusion from Ghana's 2013 Africa Cup of Nations squad is no big deal.

The Arsenal Kyiv player was not included in the provisional 26-man squad selected by head coach Kwesi Appiah.

His international career was resuscitated in June this year, when he played and scored in Ghana's 7-0 drubbing of Lesotho in Kumasi in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The 22-year-old could not maintain his form and failed to be part of Ghana's contingent for the tournament.

But he is staying positive and has targeted to make the cut for future tournaments.

"It is nothing strange to me after my exclusion, because it is the coach's choice and we need to respect the decision he has made,'' Adiyiah said.

''May be I will get the opportunity after the tournament, back to the team and anybody in the call up is capable of carrying the flag of Ghana high and it is time we pray for all team members to succeed.''
