Ghana midfielder Dominic Oduro scored for his club Chicago Fire on Sunday but they ended up losing 2-1 to Los Angeles Galaxy.
Los Angeles Galaxy kept up the pressure on leaders Real Salt Lake with the win at Chicago Fire.
Chad Barrett opened the scoring three minutes before the break and Omar Gonzalez made it 2-0 in the 72nd minute.
Substitute Dominic Oduro pulled one pack a minute from time but it was too little too late.
The result put the Galaxy level on points with Real, but they have played three games more.
