AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma expressed his delight at earning a point during Monday evening’s 1-1 draw against Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo in Naples.
The 16-year-old made a number of important saves to deny the Partenopei maximum points and frustrate Serie A’s top goalscorer Gonzalo Higuain.
“For us it is a great result, we got an important point away from home,” Donnarumma told Sky Sport Italia following the full-time whistle.
“Europe is our goal, we are taking things game by game, and we look forward to the next challenge.
“It’s a great feeling to play here, a great stadium, with great fans and an indescribable atmosphere. It was a pleasure for me.”
Donnarumma will celebrate his 17th birthday on Thursday, but has admitted a quiet day with is family is how he will spend the day.
“I want to spend the day with my family in Milan,” he concluded.
