Borussia Dortmund will not budge on their £80m valuation of Jadon Sancho because they believe Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward cave in and pay the full amount.
The two sides are currently locked in negotiations for the England international and United had a £67m bid turned down last week.
Now, according to reports from German publication Bild, Dortmund are confident they will receive the full amount that they want for Sancho.
The 21-year-old was close to sealing a £100m move to Old Trafford last summer but in the end United refused to stump up the money and the winger stayed in the Bundesliga.
This time around, with the pandemic still impacting football's finances, Dortmund are prepared to let Sancho seal a return to England as long as an £80m fee is met.
Woodward received intense criticism from the United fanbase at failing to land Sancho last summer.
In the end, United bolstered their forward options by signing Edinson Cavani on a free transfer and the Uruguayan had an excellent first season in Manchester, eventually signing a deal for another year.
Sancho is currently with the England squad at Euro 2020 but was surprisingly left out of the team entirely for Sunday's 1-0 victory against Croatia.
Speaking last week, Sancho revealed his England team-mates have been grilling him about his future.
He told Talksport: 'All the boys have a lot of questions. I just tell them - 'look, I'm just focused on football at the moment'.
'I'm cool about it. There's always going to be speculation, especially when you do well.
'It's just how you handle that on the pitch and just keep doing what you're doing.
'If you keep on doing that then I'm sure that won't be a problem because the main thing is my football and that's what I'm focused on at the moment.'
Last season, Sancho scored 17 goals in 39 appearances for Dortmund.
