Agent of Asante Kotoko forward, Songne Yacouba, Jesse Jantuah says Executive Director of the club, Dr Kwame Kyei lied to the supporters on the team securing a deal worth $150,000 for his client.
Songne Yacouba has been in the news lately after the club decided not to meet his demands of $150,000.
Executive Director of the club, Kwame Kyei after the team’s win on Sunday disclosed to the supporters that the club will be unable to meet the asking price of the player and he will be allowed to leave when his contract expires.
According to the players’ agent, Asante Kotoko did not secure any deal worth $150,000 for his client.
“There's no truth in what Dr Kwame Kyei said to the supporters that they got a deal for him worth $150,000 which Yacouba rejected, he should mention the name of the club. I dare him to”, he told Oyerepa FM.
“If Asante Kotoko is no more interested in him, we are okay. There are other clubs in Ghana who are also interested in. He will not stay home no”.
He also revealed that there are some people are working against the player spiritually which is affecting his performance.
“Spiritually we are aware of what people are doing against the player. If they will drop him from the team on Sunday, God is watching all of us. I don't want to speak much but there's God”, he ended.
According to reports, Songne Yacouba is likely to be dropped from the team’s squad ahead of the Super Two clash against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.
