Chief Executive of King Faisal Vincent Sowah-Odotei says Dr. K.K Sarpong is the best person to run Ghana football by the time the current administration’s term ends.

The business mogul aside leading Kotoko to Premier League success has championed the club to several structural and financial reforms.

His leadership qualities and ingenuity was recognized by the Premier League Board when he was named Premier League chairman of the Year for the just ended season.

And Odotei who was disqualified from contesting the last Ghana FA Presidency against Kwesi Nyantakyi believes strongly Dr Sarpong in all terms and purposes should be the next boss of the GFA.

“I will not doubt it, it might be early for him now but I am sure that in two, three years time if he continues to remain in football, we will need someone like Dr K.K Sarpong,” he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

“The way he thinks is what a modern organization needs. In football there are uncodified means of winning but that should not be the main determinant of the decisions you take and I see that in Dr Sarpong.

“At the beginning of the season I said Kotoko will win the league due to the strategic intent of Dr K.K Sarpong.

“He always talks about the game being about commerce. You need good financial management, the capacity and leadership and he has already shown this.

“He knows what to do with the club at any given time and if other clubs don’t behave like the way Kotoko is being run today, they will never win the league again.”

Kwesi Nyantakyi’s four-year tenure as Ghana FA boss espires in 2015 after which elections will be conducted for new executives.
