Dreams FC Administrative Manager Ameenu Shardow admits he backed the wrong horse by signing to play in the Normalisation Committee.

Shardow has revealed he took a unilateral decision without consulting the club's top hierarchy before appending his signature.

He had started preparing a letter to the Normalisation Committee to rescind the decision before the tournament was cancelled late Monday.

''I apologize for signing the documents on behalf of Dreams. I didn’t consult my Board of Directors before signing. I thought all the clubs have agreed to participate that is the reason why I signed,'' Shardow is quoted as saying on Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

''I was even ready to write to them back and rescind the decision. Before I heard they have cancelled the competition. We weren’t ready to participate.''
