Ordinary policing and policing at a football match are two distinct things and require Special Forces to execute their duties according to the CEO of Dreams FC, Kurt E.S. Okraku.

According to him, the attitude of the football fan is different from the ordinary person and requires a special police force to control him.

He explains that the Police must have a special group that will be in charge of football hooliganism instead of using the ordinary police force to cover football matches.

“I think ordinary policing and policing at a football match are two distinct things and must be seen as such.

“We should have special police force that will be in charge of football matches to check and arrest hooligans since they are destroying our game,” he told Asempa FM.

“Even at Dawu, the Police sometimes look on. I had to one day tell them that in times of any serious chaos, they can’t handle it simple because they do not deter the fans,” he narrated.

Kurt Okraku is the third person to have made such a call following a call by the spokesperson of the Ghana FA and the MD of GN Bank Mr. Amadu Ibrahim for special sforces to check hooligans.
