Dreams FC coach C.K Akonnor has commended Abdul Karim Zito and the technical team for successfully steering the club to victory during his absence.

Akonnor was away for one-week due to illness and had the club's technical director take interim charge.

Zito supervised their 4-0 win over Berekum Chelsea 4-0 at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

Akonnor says his technical team were excellent and can always be relied on.

"Before the game, we discuss of course, the team into details how we should play. Zito [Abdul Karim] is an experienced coach, am grateful to have somebody like him,” Akonnor said of the experienced Technical Director.

"Damba [Abukari] of course, is also there; we have Coach Dormon who was not there, Mr. Commey [James Bortsie]- they all did fantastic job and am happy. Always, when you have a strong technical team you can rely on people and they’ve shown that character.

"We’ve worked so hard in that sense and we’ve improved, I think if am not mistaken we’ll be one of two best who’ve won away matches and so we have a good record in away matches.

"Yes, sometime back we lost by 4-0, 3-0 to Chelsea and I think we’ve revenged that defeat and so we’re happy.

"We’re focused on the upcoming game, we want to improve and we’ll see at the end of the season how it goes but we’re very happy with the progress so far."

Akonnor has returned and will lead the team against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
