Dreams FC Charles Akonnor is backing his 'intelligent' players to neutralize imperious academy side WAFA SC at their dreaded home ground on Wednesday.

WAFA have done enough this season at home to intimidate opponents with their latest being the 3-0 win over Hearts of Oak.

But Akonnor believes he has quality in his side to put the brakes on the youngsters.

"I believe we can win or get a point against WAFA, I don’t expect us to lose," he said in a pre-match interview.

“I don’t also expect us to go there and play unintelligently, we will not do that. Dreams FC are such that we look at the opponent very well, assessed them and have a tactical play and that is what we’re going to do.

"I am strongly believing that we’ll go there and we’ll be intelligent- we will not be stupid to open up and allow them to play.

He further stated: "We are looking forward to this game, it is important for that we’re tactically very discipline."

Dreams FC sit fifth on the league table with 36 points after 24 games whiles WAFA SC are sixth in the table two points behind the high-flying league debutants.
