Dreams FC head coach Abdul Karim Zito has clarified his team's ambitions for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, emphasising that their primary goal is to avoid relegation rather than compete for the league title.
Speaking after Dreams FC's crucial 1-0 victory over Accra Lions on Sunday, Coach Zito explained the club’s realistic objectives amid their ongoing struggles in the league.
“We have set a target that we should be able to achieve by the end of the league. I’m not saying we are going to win. It’s out of it, but there is a position we are targeting, and when we achieve it, it’s a plus to them,” Coach Abdul Karim Zito stated.
The win against Accra Lions lifted Dreams FC to 14th place on the league table with 16 points, moving them out of the relegation zone.
Dreams FC must now focus on their next challenge, a critical fixture against Legon Cities FC, as they aim to maintain their fight for safety and achieve their targeted position by the end of the season.
