Ghanaian striker Akwasi Asante scored his fourth goal of the season for Chester in their 1-1 stalemate against Stockport County.

The 26-year-old opened the scoring for the Blues as they held at Edgeley Park.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian finished from a close range on 33 minutes but a dubious penalty given after an alleged handball by Deane Smalley on the stroke of half time allowed Stockport to level from the spot through Sam Walker.

Asante scored a fabolous hat-trick on his debut for Chester in their  over old Football League rivals Darlington last week.
