Dutch born Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen can leave PSV for either Trabzonspor or Hertha Berlin

Dutch born Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen has been given the green light to leave PSV Eindhoven for either of Trabzonspor and Hertha Berlin.

The defender has struggled for play time since joining the Dutch Champions from AZ Alkamaar and with interest coming in from Turkey and Germany, the 23 year old could leave the Eredivise.

Luckassen joined PSV for around five million Euros and despite his big money move, he has failed to nail a spot in the club.

After more than a year in Eindhoven, the powerful defender has only managed 22 appearances.

Last Saturday, the defender  was dropped for selection against Fortuna Sittard and it looks more likely he will be leaving before the summer transfer window closes.

Currently, Luckassen still has a contract until the summer of 2022. But according to De Telegraaf , he may leave this transfer period from the Philips Stadium.

Turkish side Trabzonspor and German club Hertha BSC are interested in a summer move for the defender.

Meanwhile, the two clubs are yet to official announce a bid for the player.

Luckassen previously played in the Eredivisie for AZ Alkmaar and was active in the youth at AFC and FC Amstelland.
