Olympique Marseille have set their sights on Ajax striker Brian Brobbey as a potential replacement for Elye Wahi, who seems poised to depart the Stade Vélodrome just six months after arriving from RC Lens.

The 22-year-old Brobbey, a dynamic forward, has caught Marseille’s attention as they weigh their options to bolster the attack.

Elye Wahi, signed for €30 million, including add-ons, is reportedly close to a move to Eintracht Frankfurt, sparking Marseille’s search for a new number nine. The Ligue 1 club, however, remain cautious about overspending, according to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins.

Brobbey, with a Transfermarkt valuation of €30 million, is among several players Marseille are evaluating. His combination of power, pace, and goal-scoring ability makes him an attractive target for the French giants as they prepare for a potential reshuffle in their attacking lineup.

While discussions are still in the exploratory phase, Brobbey’s proven track record at Ajax could position him as a strong contender to lead Marseille’s frontline should Wahi depart.
