Ebusua Dwarfs captain Bismark Asiedu though delighted with the 12-match ban reduction imposed on the club is pleading for a further reduction.
Dwarfs were hit with the heavy ban for failing to control their fans during theirà Premierà Leagueà home defeatà to Aduana Stars..
The irate supporters subjected referee Patrick Kyeremanteng and his two assistantsà to severe beating after disallowing a lateà equalizer.
The FA came down heavy on Dwarfs by ordering for the immediate closure of the Robert Mensah stadium pending anà investigation intoà the incident after which the 12-match nub was imposed and a 20,000 Ghana Cedis fine preferred.
And though the Ghana Federation reviewed the ban to eight and the fine to 13,350 Ghana cedis following series of pleas from the club owners, Asiedu wants the punishment further slashed.
ââ¬ÅWe knew there was certainly going to be a punishment after what happened at the stadium against Aduana,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅBut when the initial ruling came out, most of the players were taken aback so it was a huge relief to hear it had been reduced.
ââ¬ÅI however believe the 8-match ban is still on a high side and we plead it is further reduced.ââ¬
