Ebusua Dwarfs are unhappy with the choice of referee Awal Mohammed for their Premier League game at Medeama.

Dwarfs travel to the Tarkwa and Aboso Park on Sunday desperately needing to pick maximum points after they stuttered in the opening game against Berekum Arsenals.

Dwarfs claim the controversial referee showed bias during their Premier League game against relegated Wassaman United last season and wants him replaced.

“We have no doubt in our mind that referee Awal Mohammed has something against us and that’s why we want him changed,” Dwarfs spokesperson Paul Adjetey Dsane said

“During our Premier League game with Wassaman last season, he showed clear bias towards us and we think he is not the right person to handle the match.

“We have petitioned the referees’ appointment committee of the Ghana Football Association and hope for a favourable response."

Mohammed has been hugely criticized in the local media for his perceived poor officiating record.

He was the centre man when giants Kotoko boycotted the medal presentation ceremony during the President Cup defeat to Berekum Chelsea on July 1.
