Ebusua Dwarfs plan to report Hearts of Oak to the Ghana Football Association for what they claim has been an illegal approach for Rashid Sumaila.

Hearts are believed to be preparing a package to bring the highly-rated defender to the club next season.

The 19-year-old has confirmed officials of the 2000 African Champions have made contact with him – situation which has infuriated the top hierarchy of the Cape Coast-based side.

The capital-based side have not presented a formal proposal to Dwarfs but have gone ahead to speak to the player directly.

Sources say the management of the team is unhappy at the turn of event and could be forced to report the conduct of the club to the country’s football governing body if the situation persists.

“The club is not enthused with the way Hearts have gone ahead in this whole Rashid Sumaila issue,” a source close to the management team told GHANAsoccernet.com

“They have not spoken to the club yet they keep talking to the player without our consent.

“We want them (Hearts) to follow the laid down procedure and stop the back door tactics.

“We may even be forced to report them to the FA if they don’t stop making illegal approach for the young man,”

Sumaila was voted the 2011 Ghana Premier League Best Defender.

He was part of the Ghana U-23 team that won the historic gold medal at the 2011 All Africa Games.
