Dybala close to signing Juventus contract extension

Published on: 19 September 2021

According to Tuttosport, Paulo Dybala is close to reaching an agreement with Juventus over a new five-year deal.

Dybala’s contract runs out in June 2022 and the Bianconeri have been negotiating with his agent Jorge Antun for a few months now.

Antun arrived in Italy at the end of July and according to Tuttosport, he will return to Argentina next week.

However, before taking off, he wants to close an agreement with Juventus.

Earlier this week, Dybala confirmed that he wants to sign a new deal with the club and vice president Pavel Nedved insisted that the Argentinean is at the centre of Juventus’ new project.

According to Tuttosport, there is still a tiny gap between Juventus’ offer and Dybala’s demands.

The Sere A giants have put on the table a new €7.5m-a-year deal plus €2m add-ons, while Dybala wants €10m, plus €2m in bonuses to become Juventus’ highest earner with Matthijs de Ligt.

The Turin-based paper reports that ‘any day’ from tomorrow could be a good one for Dybala to put pen to paper on a new five-year deal with the Bianconeri.

Dybala joined Juventus in a €40m deal from Palermo in 2015. He has scored 102 goals in 256 appearances during his time in Turin.
