Dybala targets Champions League success with Juventus

Having secured a narrow 1-0 victory over AC Milan in the Coppa Italia final, striking starlet Paulo Dybala has revealed he is delighted with Juventus‘ domestic success upon the peninsula this season.

In addition to their Coppa Italia triumph, the Old Lady also secured their fifth consecutive Scudetto, although Dybala has stressed that the club must now be aiming to succeed in the Champions League.

“We knew that we would come up against a tough Milan side,” said Dybala to Calciomercato.it. “We succeeded in quelling their attack and in the end we were better physically.

“I am content at having won everything we could have done in Italy, now I will aim to improve on an international level.

“Juventus must now be aiming for European success.”

Furthermore, Dybala also expressed his disappointment at having missed out on a call-up for Argentina for the Copa America this summer, whilst also lamenting Juventus’ decision to deny him the prospect of playing in the Rio Olympics.

“I had expected a call up for the Coppa America because Juventus had already told me that I could not go to the Olympics and I had hoped to be selected,” he added.

“However, I must respect the choices of the coach. It is not easy to choose an attack from all of the superb strikers on offer.

“It is a shame that Juventus will not give me permission to go to Rio.”
