Ghana’s senior female team, the Black Queens will begin camping on Sunday ahead of next year’s African Cup qualifier with Mali.
A 27-member squad are expected in camp at the Ghanaman Center of Excellence in Prampram by 4pm local time.
However three more additions are expected to be made before the team moves into final preparations.
Reasons for the early camping is to adequately prepare the team ahead of the crunch tie with the Malians considering majority of the players have been derived from the All Africa Games silver-winning U-20 team.
“We want to start camping early so the players get to know each other well and form a very good team,†The Black Queens Management Committee chairman, Alhaji Adam Munkaila told GHANAsoccernet.com.
"About 16 of the players from the Princesses squad have been promoted to the senior team and we want to build a strong side hence the early camping."
