The Eastern Regional Referees Association has threatened to boycott the remaining matches in the second division if riotous fans do not reform.

The referees in the region have been a target of massive beatings and mal-treatment by fans over the past years.

The umbrella body will meet on Thursday in the capital Koforidua to take the final decision to safeguard the lives of their members following the latest litany of physical attacks at league matches.
