JE Sarpong has been fired as Ebusua Dwarfs coach.

Struggling Ebusua Dwarfs insist they took the right decision to part ways with veteran coach JE Sarpong.

Sarpong was relieved off his position last week after the Cape-Coast’s stale form saw them rooted at the foot of the table after 11 matches.

The 3-0 defeats at Asante Kotoko two weeks ago, nailed his coffin.

Dwarfs have won only two matches and accumulated a paltry nine points.

“Football dynamics, the changes might come from every corner of football administration,” the club’s director of operations John Ansah told Joy Sports

“The technical head if had been replaced tells you that things are not going the way management and the board expect it to go.

“But I won’t take anything from coach Sarpong, he has done his bit but in marriage it gets to a point you cannot even continue the marriage, you are better having a separation, you better then say that we are not quarreling, we have gotten somewhere and then he can also look out for new challenges.”

Dwarfs have hired relatively unknown Prosper Nartey, a lecturer at the University of Cape Coast, as their new coach.
