Ex-Ghana goalkeeper Eddie Ansah will step in as assistant coach for for the Black Stars double-header against Swaziland and Brazil, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The temporaryÂ change has beenÂ necessitatedÂ due to Akwasi Appiah's commitment to the national Under-23 team.
The ex-defender will leave Accra on Wednesday for a training tour of South Africa ahead of the All Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique.
"Eddie Ansah will assist Stevanovic in Akwasi Appiah's absence," Ghana FA President Kwasi Nyantakyi confirmed to GHANAsoccernet.com.
"He (Ansah) is also a qualified assistant coach and not only a goalkeeper'sÂ trainer,Â coupled with his experience on the bench, I foreseeÂ no problem."
The Black Stars will engage Swaziland on 2 September in a 2012 Nations Cup qualifier in Accra and will take on Brazil three days later in an international friendly in London.
The Black Meteors will simultaneously be opening their account at the All Africa Games against Senegal on 5 September.
