Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to hit a late winner for Arsenal against West Ham United on matchday 2 of the 2020/21 Premier League on Saturday.

The Gunners were the bookies favourites to record victory against their London rivals at the Emirates having begun the campaign with a convincing 3-0 win over Fulham in the opening day.

Alexander Lacazette deservedly fetched the opener for the hosts with a magnificent close-range striker in the 25th minute.

But Mikel Arteta's men failed to hold onto the advantage after Michail Antonio steer home on the stroke of time.

The Spanish manager called on Nketiah to replace Lacazette in the 77th minute as the game looked destined to end in a stalemate.

Nketiah did the needful by notching the winning goal in the 85th minute after connecting beautifully to Dani Ceballos's sleek pass.
