Eden Hazard off injured in the 28th minute against Alaves

Things just haven't gone Eden Hazard's way since he joined Real Madrid, and the No.7 didn't even last half an hour against Alaves on Saturday.

The Belgian started again, but suffered another problem, apparently muscular, that forced him out of the game with Madrid trailing 1-0 in the 28th minute.

Hazard started as Madrid came up against a lively and determined Alaves, who started a lot brighter than the LaLiga Santander champions did.

It was Hazard himself who had Madrid's best moment in attack, having already fallen behind. His effort, though, was saved by Fernando Pacheco.

This latest setback is the Belgian's fourth of the season so far and add to the ankle problems that ruled him out of most of the 2019/20 campaign.

This latest discomfort came in that same joint that was operated on in March and kept him out of Madrid's first two games of this term.

Just before returning in round three, he suffered a muscular injury that kept him out for five more games. His seasonal debut then came against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League, he scored against Huesca and was then ruled out against Valencia with the coronavirus.

He returned to score against Inter from the penalty spot, and it remains to be seen if he will play against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
