Edmund Addo will 'abide by his contract' at Senica despite interest from several clubs

Ghana’s rising star midfielder in the Slovak Super Lig, Edmund Addo, says he wants to abide by his contract with FK Senica despite clubs queuing for his services.

Edmund was recently rated as the best player in the Slovak Super Lig by the Daily Sports, a leading sports newspaper is Slovakia. Players at FK Senica are currently going through some administrative and financial difficulties as rumors of a boycott is rife around the club.

In a Q and A session with Daily Sports journalist, Martin Kilian Junior, Edmund offered clarification on the situation whiles pledging to respect his contract with the club.

Question:  How unusually has this winter been for Senica?

Ans: I guess it's a bit uncommon but is okay for senica.

Question: Are you still unsure or scared about your future as a club?

Ans: Not really because it's a traditional club with a great history. It’s an unfortunate situation but I’m not scared about the future.

Question: Are there some promises that things will be better?

Ans: Yes, there are a lot of promises and we're hoping that it will materialize for the club to be better. That's why we give our best always. Because we the players want the team to be the best always.

Question: Can you imagine that Senica´s players will stop playing during the league if financial commitments are not fulfilled?

Ans: Not really because since we have agreed to start the league and do our best always for the club, It will be difficult for us to take such an action. We haven't spoken about it.

Question: Are you still sad that Michal Ščasný left the club? He did a lot for Senica.

Ans: Of course I’m not the only one sad, the entire team isn’t happy. He did a lot for the team, our hard work, he motivated us, and he speaks to us most often and always explains his decisions to our understanding.

Question: I think you did not envisage such a hard start of professional career?

Ans: No, I didn't expect that. But it has really helped me to learn a lot at my age, it has made me to train harder and smarter than I thought earlier.

Question: Do you want to do a transfer as soon as possible?

Ans: I have a contract with Senica that I want to abide by. But I always receive a lot of calls and deals from different agents. I know clubs are doing their possible best to sign me.
