Ghana Premier League campaigners New Edubiase United have admitted they owe striker Stephen Manu US$ 16, 000.

The amount is a remainder of his signing on fee which was supposed to have been paid two years ago.

Manu joined the Bekwai-based side two seasons ago from Asante Kotoko for 55,000 Ghana cedis.

Edubiase paid 30,000 Ghana cedis of the said amount but were delaying in paying the balance.

The player's agent claimed his client was owned a huge sum but that was clarified by the club's president.

"The entire deal was 55,000 cedis. I paid 30,000 cedis of that amount to Stephen Manu last week," Abdul Salam Yakubu said.

Manu is eyeing a move from Edubiase after he was linked with giants Hearts of Oak.
