New Edubiase president Abdul Salam Yakubu has hinted the club could switch their home venue to Kumasi next season. Ã
The Bekwai-based side missed the chance to move into the top-four position after defender Baba Abdul Rahmanââ¬â¢s injury time equalizer denied them a precious win against leaders Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
Edubiase dominated the game with the Porcupine Warriors chasing shadows and the clubââ¬â¢s chief says they will consider a proposal to play their home matches in Kumasi next season.
Yakubu told Accra-based Oman FM: "It will not be farfetched because if our players get a quality pitch like the one in Kumasi to play on, theyââ¬â¢re always a delight to watch.
"Even though Kotoko were playing at home, they were simply passengers in the game and we may consider suggestions to play our home matches there next season.
"We believe our fans must also get the chance to watch their team and thatââ¬â¢s why we chose to play at Bekwai.
"But I will be having a meeting with my CEO and Directors at the end of the season to explore all the options. Even though we lost against Medeama for instance, we were the better side because we played on a good turf. "
Edubiase lie 7th on the league standings and tackle Ebusua Dwarfs on April 8.
