Edubiase struggle to brush aside Arsenal

Published on: 24 February 2013

New Edubiase United needed a 70th minute goal from Mamoud Suleman to beat struggling Berekum Arsenal 1-0 in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday at home.

This was another impressive display from Anthony Commey's side but they failed to convert most of the chances created.

Skipper Asiedu Attobrah lost his place in the team while Abeiku Ainooson was handed the armband.

Victory against Arsenal have always been difficult to come by for Edubiase but this was somehow a performance that deserves commendation.

Arsenal had goalkeeper Henry Yartey to thank for not conceding in the first half but pressure from Edubiase yielded dividends as they scored to bag the points 20 minutes from time.

The CAF Confederation Cup campaigners are on the verge of regaining their top form.
