Ghanaian striker Edward Afum has returned home after cancelling his contract with Shabab Al Ordon over unpaid salary.

The 23-year-old only joined the Jordanian club earlier this year where he scored to help the side claim the Super Cup.

The club have however failed to pay a single cent of the agreed signing-on fee for the former Hearts of Oak striker while also refusing to pay his wages and other promised bonuses.

The situation has led to the termination of Afum’s contract with Shabab Al Ordon who has now assumed a free agent status.

Afum who also played for Asante Kotoko after bursting onto the scene as an exciting striker while with Tema Youth is now in the country plotting another move.
