Edwin Gyasi dismisses reports of signing pre-contract with Besiktas JK

Ghana winger Edwin Gyasi has refuted reports of him signing pre-contract with Turkish side Besiktas JK.

The talented player has been a target for the Black and Whites as they aim at signing him in the summer as earlier reported by several portals in Ghana and Turkey.

Reports went rife in the Ghanaian media on Friday indicating that the 28-year-old has signed a pre-contract with the Turkish giants.

Gyasi will be a free agent as his contract with Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia will expire in the summer.

"I am surprised with such publication," he told Footballghana.com in an interview.

"I must say I am disappointed because with the situation we find ourselves, such things should not happen."

"We all miss football but at the right football will be back. I have not signed pre-contract with Besiktas and I have not agreed personal terms with the club."

Despite denying signing a pre-contract with Besiktas, Gyasi couldn't hide his desire to play for the Black Eagles if the need arises.

"Obviously every player would love to play for Besiktas because it’s a big club."

"I love Turkey and I would love play in their league."

Gyasi was a key player for CSKA Sofia before the suspension of football around the globe due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

Gyasi has played for the likes of Aalesund, Telstar, De Graafschap, FC Twente and Heracles Almelo.
