Ghana defender Edwin Gyimah has stated clearly that he will not return to the Ghana Premier League.

Gyimah began his career in the local league with Sekondi Hasaacas and later Legon Cities before moving to Super Sports United in South Africa, where he has established himself as a cult hero in the Rainbow country.

The Black Leopards ace was asked if he has any plan of returning to the Ghana Premier League before calling time on his career, “I started my football in Ghana but I have been in South Africa for years and I really enjoy the South African league."

“I have no intention of playing in the local league before I retire as a player because if I don’t travel to Europe I will hang my boot in the South African league,” he told Kumasi-based Alpha Radio.

He has made 8 appearances for Ghana since making his debut in 2012.
