Ghana striker Samuel Afum hit a brace for Egyptian side FC Smouha who lost 3-2 on penalties to Al Kuwait in the final of the Benyas Club Tournament in Dubai on Saturday.

Smouha surrendered a 3-1 lead from the first half to draw 3-3 after extra time.

The 22-year-old put Smouha 2-1 ahead on the 35th minute mark before scoring the third on 73 minutes with a ferocious low drive from the left wing.

Al Kuwait gifted Smouha the opening goal when a defender turned in a Samuel Afum cross into his own net on the 8th minute mark.

Afum restored the lead for Smouha after Kuwait cancelled out the Smouha lead when he raced clear to collect a through pass and fire beyond the opposition goalkeeper.

The former Hearts of Oak forward registered his second goal of the night with a fine finish from the left wing.

Afum emerged top scorer of the competition with three goals.
