Egyptian club Al Masry reportedly close to signing Kotoko striker Mbella Etouga

Egyptian club Al Masry are reportedly close to signing Cameroonian forward Mbella Etouga from Asante Kotoko.

According to local media reports, the transfer is nearing completion, with Etouga agreeing to move to the North African country.

Etouga scored 21 goals in his debut season for Kotoko, who won the Ghana Premier League.

Ghanasoccernet understands Etouga is ‘unhappy’ at Asante Kotoko and is forcing a move away from the Ghanaian giants.

The 20-year-old has told the club's top brass he's no longer interested in continuing his career in Kumasi and wants out.

GHANAsoccernet.com Headquarters can report that the striker has refused to train in a bid to force his way out of the club.

He wasn't part of the team that travelled to Benin to beat RC Kadiogo 1-0 in the first leg of CAF Champions League preliminary round tie.

Mbella signed a three-year deal with the Ghanaian giants in 2021 and went ahead to enjoy an explosive debut season.
