Egyptian giants Zamalek SC expenditure for the 2019/2020 stands at US$25.5 million

Egypt sporting giants Zamalek SC spent around US$ 25.5 million in the 2019/2020 season, a document has revealed.

The White Knights spent the amount from 1 July 2019 to 31 June 2020 on sporting activities spanning within the period.

The expenditure covers new signings, salaries, bonuses amongst others for the season.

Zamalek have twenty-three (23) sports games of both male and female individual and teams.

The teams include football, basketball, athletics, table tennis, volleyball, handball and others.

The report of the controller at the Zamalek revealed that the budget surplus for the fiscal year 2018-2019 reached around US$ 10.6 million.

Zamalek are a major force in African football having won the CAF Champions League on five occasions and the CAF Super Cup four times and the CAF Confederation Cup just once.

They have also won the Egypt Premier League 27 times, the highest behind bitterest rivals Al Ahly SC.

Zamalek are currently in the semi-finals of the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League campaign.
