Zguro, 27, who is currently on the roaster of USL Championship side FC Tulsa, says the Ghana international was "afraid" of him.

Ekuban, spent a successful one-year loan spell at Partizani Tirana which earned him a high profile move to English Championship side Leeds United.

Injuries conspired against him as he failed to make an impression at Elland Road.

He was subsequently shipped on loan to Turkish side Trabzonspor  before making the deal permanent in 2019.

And former KF Korabi Peshkopi defender Vangjel Zguro claims Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban was afraid he could hurt him.

"I played as a left-back and had to do with not only fast but also physically strong players. I wouldn’t want to actually mention the names, but since you insist I will reveal them. They were Kaleb Ekuban of Partizan and Tomislav Busic of Flamurtari." he told Panorama Sport.

Ekuban has since gone on to become a star man for Trabzonspor, who are now chasing for the Turkish Super Lig title.
