Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has pledged to maintain his hard work after receiving his maiden call-up to the Black Stars by head coach Otto Addo.
The 24-year-old, who joined Kotoko from Great Olympics at the start of the season, is one of three Ghana Premier League players named in the squad for the final two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
Antwi has made an impressive start to his Kotoko career, featuring in all nine league matches so far and scoring once. Reflecting on his call-up, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity and reaffirmed his commitment to continue improving.
“Kotoko has taught me a lot to improve in my career. They've given me the big platform to showcase my talent, and I think that's a good step for me,” Antwi told Asante Kotoko after the call-up.
“I'll keep working hard to make sure I make them proud when I get there."
Antwi will be hoping to make his Black Stars debut in the upcoming qualifiers, with Ghana set to face Angola away in Luanda on November 14, before hosting Niger in Accra on November 18.
