Emmanuel Asante has been forgiven for his unprofessional act.

Left-back Emmanuel Asante has been pardoned by Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu and likely to start in Thursday's Wafu Nations Cup final against Senegal.

The Bechem United player was sent off for a silly tackle on a Benin player in their 1-0 defeat.

Asante, who was at the receiving end of a clumsy challenge, retaliated by kick his opponent and that earned him red.

The former Ghana U20 international apologized to his teammates and has since been forgiven.

He will replace Joshua Tijani, who took his position in the starting line-up against Benin.
