Striker Emmanuel Baffoe has penned a one year- extension at New Edubiase - ending any hopes of a quick getaway.

The striker is a free agent this season and would prefer to look at his options with many clubs abroad believed to be interested in his services.

But the Bekwai-based side has activated a clause in his contract with both parties agreeing to the details.

The 23-year-old however will still be allowed to move to an European club if the suitors are able to meet his asking price valuation.

“I am happy to say that I have signed a one-year contract extension with Edubiase because the club has done a lot for me,” Baffour told Accra-based Radio XYZ

“I want to pay them back for helping me. However I will be still move abroad if I get a good deal.

“The extension is good for both parties and I am delighted at it,”

The ex-Liberty Professional and Tema Youth attacker was named as the 2011 Sports Writers Association of Ghana Player of the Year after raking in an incredible 21 goals in the season.
