Emmanuel Frimpong confirms groin setback; Ghana debut in doubt
Emmanuel Frimpong has picked up a groin injury.

Emmanuel Frimpong's quest to debut for Ghana this month is in serious doubt after picking up a groin injury last week.

The 22-year-old is expected to play his first match for the Black Stars in the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan.

The Fulham midfielder suffered the setback in training as the Cottagers were preparing to play Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League.

He sat out the famous 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane, casting doubts over availability for the Black Stars.

The former England youth international posted on his official Twitter page: "Groin Injuries are the worst can't move."

Frimpong has been named in Kwesi Appiah's 24-man squad for the must-win clash against the Desert Hawks at the Baba Yara Stadium on 24 March.
